One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2026: The session was very expensive for what it was. The lady was not prepared and it was was a bit hap dash. But friendly, and not pushing for a sale. I did buy a machine, would be good if this could be discounted with the price paid for the workshop.
  • 5/5 from Julie Duggan, attended Feb 2026: New to Circut and wanted basics to get started. Michelle was fantastic, so knowledgeable and took me through step by step can't thank her enough for the inspiration she has given me. Venue was good although Michelle had to show me everything on her phone as the Ipads were not connecting. Michelle's patience and explanations.
  • 5/5 from Claire Boffey, attended Feb 2026: Michelle was really helpful as, despite having a Cricut for a number of years, I hadn’t worked out what I could do with it bar basic functions. I went back to basics to gain some knowledge and confidence. I will be going back for part 2 in a few months.

  • 5/5 from Gayle, attended Nov 2023: Kayleigh was a great tutor for learning about Cricut Joy as a complete beginner. She went through how it works, software to connect to and we completed two projects, a card and an iron on make up bag. We looked at all options of using the Joy and look forward to having a go an home! Tunbridge Wells Hobbycraft was a great location as it was all set up upstairs which was in a quieter area! Definitely recommend.

  • 5/5 from Jess Neville, attended Jun 2023: I honestly had the best session with Kayleigh. She was the best. She made it so fun and everything really easy to understand. I told her in advance that I have different learning styles and she adapted straight away, was really positive and upbeat, and even helped me to pick out the extras that we used afterwards and was able to advise on what I would benefit most from. I loved it and I’m going to book again soon. Thank you

  • 5/5 from Wendy Eldridge, attended Feb 2023: The young Chelsea was a great teacher taking her time to advise all aspects of the machines and tools needed. She was very patient and taught us card, and acrylic also the iron on transfers. She was very knowledgeable about the said machines I would definitely be going back for more tuition.

  • 5/5 from Cassie Muir, attended Oct 2022: I had a great time during my session. We overcame my problems The only downfall was that you can not do print and cut. I would happily pay more for this workshop to be able to be held.
  • 5/5 from Elaine Hickman, attended Jun 2022: Kayleigh was so helpful and patient with us. She showed us how to set up a project and use infusible ink and the heat press. My daughter chose a very intricate text that took a long time to weed but Kayleigh was so patient and we will now be buying a heat press
  • 5/5 from Katie Reilly, attended Apr 2022: I did the 1.1 Cricut workshop with Kayleigh. Can’t recommend the class and Kayleigh enough. I had a few things that I couldn’t work out how to do, I left the workshop confident that I could do it. Kayleigh was brilliant and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back if I get stuck on anymore projects.
  • 5/5 from Laura Land, attended Apr 2022: Such a brilliant training session and all round the store is brilliant, so friendly and helpful!
  • 5/5 from Louise Bruce, attended Apr 2022: Chelsea was a very good teacher and I learnt how to do everything on my wish list. She was keen for me to use the Cricut machine myself rather than just her doing it while I watched. She clearly enjoyed passing on her knowledge and loves using Cricut products. I would definitely recommend any Cricut newbie to book a one to one with Chelsea. I wasn’t really aware that Hobbycraft do these tutorials and more people should take advantage of them. YouTube is good but a one to one is miles better. Thank you, Chelsea, and I may well book another session more advanced Cricut techniques. Louise
  • 5/5 from Janette Hall, attended Mar 2022: Kayleigh was excellent! Having said I wanted to prepare fabric and paper for patchwork I'd sorted this by myself (sorry to have worried her!). Instead she was a to answer all my questions and do an excellent demo of using fusible inks. I will be booking another session when I have more questions! Thank you
  • 5/5 from Kat Pond, attended Mar 2022: Loved my one2one with Kayleigh. She was super helpful and gave me confidence to go home and have a proper play with my Cricut. Kayleigh is extremely knowledgeable and professional and was able to answer all my silly questions that I blurted out as we did a project together. I would definitely recommend this workshop and will return to do more as well. It was a quiet environment in which to work together and the hour flew by. I feel so much more confident now.
  • 5/5 from Jane Metcalf, attended Feb 2022: The teacher (Chelsea) was excellent, she explained everything from start to finish. We covered embossing, vinyl and infusible ink. Chelsea explained how each technique works and how if I tried something more complicated it would also work. She also recommended a Facebook page for Cricut users which will be very useful. I will be back for another one to one lesson when I move on to using leather.
  • 5/5 from Kay Hills, attended Feb 2022: Kayleigh was great, she had unending patience with me and all of my questions. Had a lovely session where she showed me things I didn’t know how to do…. so the whole time was very valuable.

  • 5/5 from Sue Pyatt, attended Oct 2021: good cover the things i wanted to know. have gone a brought one. good tutor
  • 5/5 from Josie Yow, attended Oct 2021: I throughly enjoyed my one to one session with Kayleigh. It was held in a dedicated space in the shop. I was okay standing, however an older person might find that a challenge. The session was good value for money and the hour passed very quickly. I was able to achieve my objective of deciding which CRICUT Machine to buy. Kayleigh was very knowledgeable, patient, enthusiastic and encouraged a hands on approach to learning. I will definitely have another teaching session once I am more familiar with my machine
  • 5/5 from Hayley Archer, attended Sep 2021: I attended the cricut workshop as a complete beginner so I had very limited basic knowledge of how to use the machine and what it could do. The teacher demonstrated the software and cutting well and I feel much more confident with using the Maker 3. Well worth the £10 cost.
