One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Dina Chetcuti, attended Aug 2026: I needed some help with projects I had saved but needed help moving forward to print and cut and design space features. The one to one was absolutely fantastic, it helped enormously and hopefully now I can move forward onto the projects. My teacher was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I learnt a great deal and would highly recommend the session if buying a machine.
  • 5/5 from Vicky Kirby, attended Mar 2026: Lauren was fantastic, she went through all of the basics for a complete cricit beginner and helped to give me confidence to go away and create my own masterpieces. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much.
  • 2/5 from Julie Jones, attended Aug 2025: The young girl was not a very good teacher She apparently had a cricut 3 herself but was not experienced with the cricut maker 4 and I really felt that I had a wasted hour of my time which was a shame
  • 3/5 from Sue Fleckney, attended Jun 2025: The class was okay. I did find out the things I needed to, but part of what I would have liked to learn was not possible as it wouldn’t download onto the iPad. It was supposed to be an hour long session, but only lasted 30 minutes so that was disappointing as I had paid for an hour.
  • 5/5 from Carol Kay, attended Dec 2024: My session gave me exactly what I wanted for a big project I am working on. My teacher was great - lots of good advice and really knew her stuff. I’d recommend it to anyone. I would definitely use again if I need help with a design project.
  • 5/5 from Alison Gunning-Stevenson, attended Nov 2024: Emma was brilliant. She gave a fair and balanced review of the machines. Her knowledge was incredible and she was so friendly. I definitely recommend taking the time to do this if you are interested in a machine at Hobbycraft.
  • 5/5 from Jo, attended Aug 2024: Great workshop. Staff member Emma was super knowledgeable on Cricut machines. Very clear demonstration and explanations. Emma was welcoming and helpful throughout. A wealth of info gained enabling me to make decisions on future Cricut machines and products as well as some super helpful tips too. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Bev, attended May 2024: The Cricut beginner session was very informative. The teacher was friendly and helpful. She patiently answered my many questions and waited for me to make notes. There was a lot to take in but I feel confident I can try to put some of what I learnt into practise.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Maddy, attended Mar 2024: I booked a workshop to help me improve on my crafting journey when using my cricut joy xtra. Emma (Hereford) was excellent in her knowledge and explaining and showing me how to navigate design space. I will be returning for more tuition in the future.
  • 4/5 from Jackey Williams, attended Nov 2023: Good knowledgeable teacher who answered questions we had which gave good basic grounding to progress onto our own projects.
  • 5/5 from Sophie Edwards, attended Oct 2023: Emma is the best out there. 10/10 would put myself in her capable hands again.
  • 5/5 from Heather McCarthy, attended Oct 2023: Emma at Hereford branch (I hope I've remembered her name correctly!) Was brilliant! Tailored the hour, completely led by my questions. She was welcoming, friendly and put me at ease straight away. She was not only extremely knowledgeable, but obviously loved Cricut through and through, and enthusiasm like that is contagious! Worth every penny, thank you!
  • 5/5 from Pearl Taylor, attended Oct 2023: Teacher outstanding, patient and super informative and adaptable. Very very personable will be back. Woukd love to be able to book in store rather than always having to be online.
  • 5/5 from Donna Richards, attended Sep 2023: Great Cricut class with Emma. She knows the machines well and explained all the different techniques I was interested in. Look forward to purchasing a machine and putting her advice into practise.

  • 5/5 from Graham Dawson, attended Sep 2022: The venue was really and the instructor was brilliant and I was able to learn a lot to do with the Cricut and look forward to putting the knowledge into action.
  • 4/5 from Valerie Morgans, attended Sep 2022: Emma was a delightful tutor, I learned not to be afraid of the machine! Both things I would have liked to be demonstrated were not supported by the wi fi system, I think a serious upgrade of the system is necessary for demonstrating these machines to the high standard which people expect when paying for one to one tuition. However, the hour went so quickly, I will return when I’ve had a practice with my machine.
  • 5/5 from Marcia Burford, attended Aug 2022: Emma is an amazing tutor, a fount of knowledge. The pace of the class was just right, I have learnt quite a bit in my 1 hour lesson. The shop was quiet, so no unwanted noises. Really enjoyed the session, will be booking another one, as it gave me the confidence to tackle new skills on the Cricut maker.
  • 5/5 from Ruth Castree, attended Aug 2022: Emma was terrific and knew what she was talking about. I did feel a bit vulnerable to start with as out in the open shop with people around but soon settled in. Emma gave me some valuable tips that I have taken away with me. I loved having it as a 1 to 1 rather than a group.
  • 5/5 from Angela Ridgway, attended Apr 2022: she was brilliant, able to show me, help and guide me, answering all my questions. I will book again if I need advice on other projects
  • 5/5 from Amy Barnstable, attended Apr 2022: My daughter had a one to one with Emma in Hereford. She already wanted a Cricut Joy for her birthday - she left the workshop even more excited to get one!
  • 5/5 from Jackie Howell, attended Mar 2022: Emma, was lovely. She is very knowledgeable & patient, learnt a lot. Emma was willing to show me what I needed to know.
  • 5/5 from Ruth Gibbins, attended Feb 2022: Emma was friendly and was able to answer all my questions. Materials were demonstrated and I left the one to one class felling more confident.
  • 5/5 from Emma Watts-Tucker, attended Feb 2022: I enjoyed it very much. Moira was very nice and helpful. Can’t wait for the next time.
  • 5/5 from Beverley Groves, attended Jan 2022: This is a brilliant introduction by Emma to my machine that I have had for 3 weeks and have been scared of. This machine has been out of the box but only cut one piece of card with it. Emma is both very knowledgeable and sympathetic to my lack of knowledge and computer skills. I had bought some vinyl to use for pantry labels and I now will be able to use it after this one to one class. This has given me so much confidence to just try things. The worst that can happen is I waste a bit of paper or card. Thanks Emma
  • 5/5 from Karen Jones, attended Jan 2022: Emma was brilliant helping me to understand my cricut, which I've had for a while now (Emma sold it to me). But I've not had the courage to use it. She made everything look really easy, so it's time for me to start practising & book another workshop with her at some stage. Thx Emma
  • 5/5 from Diana Maslin, attended Jan 2022: Excellent teacher. Very patient and informative & I learnt a lot. I’ll be back soon
  • 5/5 from Julie Ruck, attended Oct 2021: My course was with Emma Taylor, who was great! Emma explained so well, got me to carry out the steps of making a bag and cosmetic case with infusible ink after explaining well and showing me first. I have not used my machine and press as have had no idea where to begin! I am now confident enough to make on my own and will try in near future. I really enjoyed the whole experience and Emma was fantastic. Would definitely book again with her. Thanks again
