This is a private one-to-one street photography workshop for anyone who wants to get out into London and start photographing the real world around them.
Street photography can feel intimidating at first. Photographing strangers, getting close to people, and deciding when to press the shutter can all take confidence. With just you and me, I can tailor the workshop to your experience and help you get past those initial nerves.
We’ll spend the time out on the streets, looking for interesting people, moments, light, and situations rather than waiting for the perfect photograph. You’ll learn how to approach street photography in a natural way, how to get closer, how to anticipate what might happen, and how to shoot without overthinking every frame.
I’ve been photographing the streets of London for many years, and my work has been exhibited in galleries and used by clients around the world through Getty Images, where I’ve been a contributor for over 20 years. I also run other photography workshops with ClassBento, where I’ve received great feedback from previous students.
You don’t need to be an experienced photographer or have expensive equipment. Just bring a camera and a willingness to get out there and photograph. The aim is to build your confidence, take lots of photos, and, most importantly, enjoy the process.
What you'll get
  • A 3-hour hands-on street photography experience in London.
  • Practical guidance on photographing people and situations as they happen around you.
  • Help building the confidence to photograph strangers and get closer to the action.
  • Tips on spotting interesting moments and anticipating what might happen next.
  • Guidance on camera settings, focusing, and shooting quickly without getting bogged down in technical details.
  • Advice on working with light, movement, and changing situations on the street.
  • The opportunity to take lots of photographs and experiment with different approaches.
  • Practical tips on street photography etiquette and what to do when someone notices you.
  • A chance to develop your own approach to street photography rather than simply copying someone else.

No previous photography experience is required.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners, so you don’t need to understand camera settings or have any previous experience with street photography. I’ll explain everything you need to know as we go, and we can start with your camera on Auto if you’re new to photography.
All you need is a camera and an interest in learning how to photograph the streets of London.
What to bring
A camera. Any camera is suitable, and you don’t need to know how to use all the settings. I’ll show you what you need to know, and we can start with Auto if you’re new to photography.
A fully charged battery and enough memory for plenty of photos.
Comfortable shoes. We’ll be walking around London for around 3 hours.

I have been capturing the vibrant energy of London through street and urban photography for years. My journey started with a fascination for Brutalist architecture, which grew into a broader love for finding beauty in the overlooked corners of the city.
Teaching photography excites me because it is a chance to share my passion and knowledge with others. I believe that photography is all about perspective and seeing the world differently, and I love helping others discover how to do that. Whether it is guiding a beginner on their first photo walk or helping someone refine their technique, I find great joy in the process.
Through my work, I have developed a natural, spontaneous approach to shooting. I have never been one for rigid plans; I prefer to let the city and the people within it guide me. That is the same philosophy I bring to my workshops: it is all about embracing the moment, experimenting, and learning by doing.
I have been honing my skills over the years and am excited to offer a more personal, hands-on experience through these workshops. I look forward to seeing you out there, exploring the streets and capturing images you will be proud of.
