You will begin by weighing your clay balls, then watch a demonstration to learn the techniques needed to ‘centre’ your clay and ‘pull’ up the walls of your pots. Sitting down at your own dedicated potter's wheel, you’ll get hands-on experience throwing a cylinder, guided by your instructor’s expertise.
Expect a messy, challenging, but rewarding experience!

Clay and tools will be provided during the class.
Please be aware that a materials fee of £5 per piece additional will be required if pots to be kept.

  • 5/5 from Camille, attended Oct 2024: I went last Sunday to try the Wheel throwing taster class. It was really easy to get into it as the class is not that big. You get a lot of guidance from Dimitrios along the way, as well as independence in working in the studio. The vibe is also really nice, which allows a good balance of social interaction and focus work. I definitely got some confidence after the first half and managed to make 4 cylinder shaped clays! Thank you so much! Will keep continuing coming to this even if it’s a bit far from me! Love the independent studio ambiance!!
  • 5/5 from Adrien, attended Oct 2024: Dimitrios is an amazing teacher, very good at explaining the process and showing it multiple time. The studio is also lovely with some of Dimitrios' pieces on the shelves. I'm planning on going again next weekend. Thanks for the great session :)
