  • 5/5 from Ursula Herbert, attended Jul 2026: A most enjoyable day learning to make stained glass. Cheryl was an excellent teacher who welcomed us into her colourful, well-equipped studio with a friiendly smile & warm hospitality. Her enthusiasm, positive encouragement and help when needed gave us the confidence to 'have a go' at this difficult craft activity which neither of us had experienced before. It was a long and tiring day, but Cheryl's friendly approach kept us going & we were delighted with our results.
  • 5/5 from Sylvie Wilcock, attended Jul 2026: I had the best time with Cheryl making my lead stained glass. She is so warm and welcoming and the small group meant we all got one on one time for any questions or help. All equipment was provided for us, as well as hot drinks, slushies and snacks. I left with a piece of work I was really proud of and a new found passion. Thank you Cheryl!
  • 5/5 from Solenn Ferrato, attended Jun 2026: Very fun day with Cheryl and a small group of 3 other people, in her lovely studio. Plenty of choice for the template, and plenty of time to complete the project. Would recommend!
  • 5/5 from Susan Jones, attended Jun 2026: A brilliant class!! A small group of 4 people. I believe the maximum is 5 or 6 to a class so you will never feel crowded or overwhelmed whilst learning. Cheryl, the teacher was so lovely, a great host and extremely patient. Lots of drinks and snacks were always on offer.......I had 2 slushies from her slushie machine I've been wanting to try doing Lead Stained Glass for ages and am so glad I did. I made a stained glass picture of a bird and I am really proud of it. I would definitely recommend this class to everyone.
  • 5/5 from Elizabeth Parker, attended Jun 2026: I received a gift to attend Cheryl’s class and absolutely loved it. Informative enough while being given the time and space to crack on with the piece that we were able to take home that day. I can see myself asking for this exact birthday gift next year
  • 5/5 from Zara Naeem, attended Jun 2026: The course was great! I was super happy with my stained glass window - we got to choose our own design out of ≈10 options and then choose our own colours to put in. Cheryl’s demonstrations were clear and she was always happy to answer questions; she’s a friendly and bubbly character. Great facilities also.
  • 5/5 from Georgina Rae, attended Apr 2026: Loved this class, Cheryl was a wonderful teacher and it was a brilliant way to spend a Sunday. A small group of 5 meant Cheryl could keep an eye on us all and we all came away with a lovely stained glass panel. Would highly recommend - the voucher was a great Christmas present!
  • 5/5 from Helen Rae, attended Apr 2026: This class was a Xmas present for my daughter initially but I was more than happy to join her last weekend. We had a wonderful if tiring day - Cheryl has a lovely studio and was a great teacher, happy to explain and reexplain and to help out if someone was in difficulty- I have arthritis in my hands and she was eager to help with the cutting of the glass and to give me a separate cutting tool to make things easier - it’s a relatively complicated process but we all left with a piece we could be proud of - I highly recommend going!
  • 5/5 from Mya Welch, attended Apr 2026: Had a great time learning from Cheryl! She was brilliant teacher, very patience and always there to lend a hand when you got stuck! Deffo recommend this class!
  • 5/5 from Harvey, attended Mar 2026: 5 stars isnt enough, upgrading to 6! We absolutely loved it, from start to finish! Cheryl is a great teacher and structured the class really well so we felt confident to move though each step of the process. She has lots of glass to choose from, and if there was a piece you loved that wouldnt fit, she made it her mission to find something for you! The small groups worked really well as we got a lot of 1:1 throughout. Her workshop is beautfiul and spacious too, so we all had enough room to work. The day was split up into lovely relaxed conversations with lunch or hot drinks while we worked. Wonderful experience! Thank you, will definitely be doing it again!

Something we thought we would never be capable of but with Cheryl's gentle steer and encouragement WE DID IT! Thanks for an unforgettable day Cheryl and now that we have had a little practice, we are excited to return again to hone in on our newly acquired skills. Thank you!

(something one can do at home, with the right equipment). Lovely studio, lovely house.

Now that you’ve found me, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been making and designing lead lights for about as long as it has taken me to raise three children and see them married with children of their own, so, that’s a long time.
I decided that I wanted to be a stay at home mum and be able to have something to occupy me and fulfil my creative skills, so when I discovered a ‘Stained Glass Evening Class’ at our local college, I signed up, and did a one night a week term of tuition, and left with a determination to practice and perfect what I had learned.
Not only did I enjoy my new found challenge, but my admiration of the glass panels we see in our places of worship and not forgetting the period glass features of our friends and neighbours’ homes could now be something I could actually be part of.
But for personal reasons I had something much deeper than that which made me more intent on really making this work, and that was my mental health issues, which presents itself as agoraphobia and the feeling of helpless anxiety when leaving my comfort zone, this would on all occasions make everybody else's normality a real trial for me, so I realised I had to make my own little paradise, here in the safety of the place that I felt most at ease, my home.
My studio is my solace, where I can create and feel secure, and I welcome you all into my personal sanctuary, where I hope you will feel as comfortable and inspired as I do.
