How it all startedI spent a long time as a Head Chef in high-end, busy kitchens. I learned how to make great food, but I felt like I was missing the best part: the people! In those big professional kitchens, you’re hidden away and never get to see anyone actually enjoying what you’ve made.I wanted to change that, so I started my own market stall. I love the market because it’s so personal—I get to see your faces, have a chat, and be part of the community. I decided to start these classes because I wanted to take that friendly "market stall energy" and bring it indoors, where we have a bit more time to bake and hang out together.Why I love teachingI love teaching because it’s a chance to share the professional secrets I’ve picked up over the years, but in a way that’s totally relaxed. There’s no "chef ego" here. I love seeing people realize that they can make something delicious while having a drink and a good laugh. It’s about making high-end skills feel like something you can do with your friends on a Saturday afternoon.Something special about our classesI think food tastes better when it’s a shared experience. That’s why I always have a big, colorful grazing table waiting for you. Just like when you visit a market stall and see all the fresh treats on display, I want you to be able to snack and socialize while you bake.In my classes, we aren't just following a recipe; we’re hanging out. We graze, we sip, and we create. I’ve traded the quiet, isolated kitchens for this—building a real community in Croydon, one bake at a time.
