Necklace Pendant Making Workshop

In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, you will learn all the skills required to design and create y0ur own bespoke pendant using ancient wax carving techniques!This workshop is a perfect opportunity to free your mind, get creative, and connect with other like-minded people whilst making a special heirloom.We hold a lot of sentiment in the jewellery we wear. It has the power to transport us, to bring back memories of loved ones and experiences. Hand-making a special heirloom only amplifies this. You can use this time to make the perfect present for a loved one or make a special pendant to celebrate yourself.No need to come with a design in mind, the creative process will allow some time to brainstorm with inspiring materials to help you come up with your very own and unique piece of jewellery.All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. However, if you would like to deepen your existing skill set, that is possible too. The techniques in wax carving and what you can create in wax are endless! I will tailor a portion of the workshop to each individual's design but will also cover all the different methods and techniques used in wax carving for lost wax casting.There will be some exciting optional upgrades available in class, including a pendant chain, gemstone setting, gold plating, or engraving to make your pendant even more special (available for pre-purchase or to add on the day).By the end of the class, your piece will be completed, ready for casting which takes about 2 weeks.The price includes materials to make a pendant up to 20mm in diameter. If you'd like to upgrade to a larger pendant, you will simply be charged for the additional weight in silver (calculated in class based on the final weight) plus a £5 casting upgrade fee. You can also add-on a chain of your choice. Prices will vary depending on your chain selection (chosen in-class).If you would like to upgrade to solid gold, you may do this on the day. We will weigh the wax model to determine the cost of gold.

This class is perfect for beginners - no prior experience is needed. However, if you do have experience, I will cater to you and add extra challenges to build on your skills.This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team-building activity, birthday, or hen do.This would also be a nice gift for her, gift for mum, anniversary gift, or birthday gift. The workshop includes:

• Drinks and tasty treats
• Drawing materials
• All tools and materials: 20mm wax blanks*, wax files, a selection of carving tools, sandpaper and sanding sticks, fine point engraving tools and safety thimbles for your fingers
• Step-by-step wax carving tutorials and one-on-one assistance
• Casting of your pendant in recycled silver (gold vermeil of solid gold of your choice)
• Cleaning and polishing of your pendant to your desired finish (matte or shiny)
• The pendant will be posted to your home address (£4 for tracked postage) unless you would like to collect

*Additional widths available, there is an additional fee to cover the extra silver. It is also possible to upgrade your ring to 9ct, 14ct, 18ct yellow and white gold for an extra charge. Just yourself and an idea (or two or three, if you can't decide yet)!
