Your teacher
I'm Karo, a self-thought Belgian contemporary artist based in South of London, UK. I drew and painted every-since I was little, however just last year I decided to make painting my full time career. I spent 20 yers in the corporate world and after pandemic I found myself completely burning out. My burnout and break from working gave me the space and time to reconnect with my passion for nature, creativity and with the mediative element of the two. Art helped me to go through the difficult period in my life and now I would like to extend the gift of art to others.My art is known for bold colours and geometric, a little surrealistic shapes but also you will find some deconstructed faces and a lot of botanical and animal themed pieces as well. I am deeply inspired by nature, movement, music, light, language and by Feng Shui. Through my art I hope to evoke feelings of freedom and balance.I am an energetic person, I love to learn and to find new ways of creating. I enjoy teaching and sharing the gift of art with others. My hope is for you to have fun, disconnect from the outside world and to connect with the inner self.
