Refresh one of your own garments at this full-day natural dyeing session in Deptford.
This workshop is the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into a piece of clothing you already own. You’ll be guided through the complete process, starting with preparing your garment by scouring (cleaning) and mordanting (using a fixative) to ensure the colour holds beautifully.
Once your item is prepped, you'll learn how to dye it using natural dyes. You don't need any prior dye experience, as this is a guided group session designed to support you every step of the way. All the necessary natural dye materials are provided, including mordants, dye extracts, and foraged materials.
You’ll leave with a renewed sense of achievement and a unique garment that you’ll be excited to wear again and again.
What you'll get
  • A beautifully hand-dyed textile item (bring your own scarf, cotton tote bag, linen tea towel, t-shirt, dress, etc.) using plant-based dyes
  • Knowledge of natural dye techniques
