Food has always been a central part of my life. From a young age, I was captivated by the art of cooking, watching my mum, who was a trained chef, work her magic in the kitchen. I would stand by her side, absorbing her skills, learning about flavors, techniques, and the importance of patience in every dish she created. It was during those years that my love for baking first took root. I vividly remember the joy of helping her prepare everything from classic cakes to intricate pastries, each recipe infused with care and precision.As I grew older, my passion for food only deepened, and I found myself drawn to sharing that love with others. This led me to become a food technology teacher, where I had the privilege of teaching students not only how to cook but also how to embrace the creative process that food offers. Over the years, I’ve been proud to help countless students achieve excellent exam outcomes, guiding them to understand the science behind food, and inspiring them to experiment and perfect their culinary skills.For me, baking isn’t just about the end result—it’s about the journey. It’s about creating something from scratch and watching how ingredients transform through technique and time. And most importantly, it’s about sharing those creations with others. Food truly tastes better when it’s shared, and nothing brings people together like the smell of freshly baked cookies or the joy of making something special for friends and family.Through this baking masterclass, I’m excited to pass on the techniques, knowledge, and love for food that I’ve gathered over the years.
