The venue itself was beautiful, luxurious, and the perfect setting for such a creative and relaxing activity. Everything was exceptionally well organised, which made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We were welcomed with a refreshing natural lemonade before being introduced to the art of scented candle making with a truly luxurious touch. The fragrance oils were beautifully displayed, clearly labelled, and thoughtfully explained so we could understand the different scent notes and their characteristics. We were encouraged to explore and sample them, with the option of keeping things simple with one scent or getting creative by blending two or three. I chose to keep mine simple. Once we selected our oils, we were guided through the science behind mixing fragrance with wax, which made the process both fun and surprisingly educational. We then mixed and poured our candles before patiently waiting for the wax to set so we could add the finishing decorative touches. The host was fantastic. Warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly organised. They created such a welcoming atmosphere that made the whole class feel special. And the best part? You leave with a beautiful, luxurious organic candle that you made yourself. Most importantly, my mum absolutely loved it, which made the day even more meaningful.
