Welcome to HEINMA Studio
Come on in, choose your seat, and make yourself at comfortable! My little studio in Clapham is filled with colourful tiles and creative inspiration. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a mosaic enthusiast, I’ll guide you through the process and help you bring your ideas to life.
Start Planing Your Design
Got an idea? Great! Still looking for inspiration? No worries. There is plenty of inspiration around the studio. If you want to create a pattern you can start playing around with colours and shapes. Planing to create a cute motif instead? Sketch out your idea on the base and I’ll help you turn your idea into a mosaic.
Choose Your Tiles
Time to raid the tiles. Choose from a glorious mix of colours, shapes and textures to bring your ideas to life. Go bold, go colourful, clash those colours for better contrast or keep it simple and elegant. It’s your masterpiece, your rules.
Cut It, Shape It, and Stick It
I’ll show you how to use the mosaic tools to cut and shape your tiles safely, which will help you put your design together.
When everything has its place it’s time to start gluing the tiles down and enjoy watching your creation come together, one piece at a time.
Finish It Off
Once your tiles are in place, it’s time to talk grout! I’ll show you how to fill the gaps and finish your mosaic, ready to bring out all those lovely colours and details and make it all pop.
Your Masterpiece Is Done
Look at you, making things! Your very own handmade mosaic is ready to go home with you. I’ll wrap it up for you so it can travel with you safely.

Hey, I’m Martina, founder of HEINMA Studio, an independent creative art studio tucked away in Clapham. I’ve always been that person who needs to make things. Art has been my constant, and back in my nanny days it was my secret weapon. Art & Craft is here to bring calm, connection, curiosity, and joy but somewhere along the way, adulthood convinced us we need to be “good” at things. Make them perfect, polished, and frame-worthy. Kids, on the other hand? Zero fear, pure joy, and questionable amount of glitter. I’m making it my mission to bring this exact energy back to you!Which is exactly why HEINMA studio was born. It all started as biweekly creative pop-ups in cafes and turned into an actual space where I get to guide others and help them switch off their brains, get their hands messy, and remember that creativity isn’t something you grow out of. It’s in fact the very opposite and we should lean more into it. No pressure. No rules. No judgement. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch people light up over their little creation, new connections, and friendships. This isn’t just another class. It’s a creative reset. Whether you’re burnt out, bored, or just fancy doing something different in London, HEINMA studio is your spot.
