Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in style with this unique workshop that combines baking and calligraphy for an experience you won't forget in a hurry!Start by crafting mooncakes with guidance from mooncake experts and professional chefs, Winnie and Theo from Too Much Sugar Bakery. You will prepare the mooncake pastry, fill it with salted egg yolk custard and pandan custard, and shape them using traditional moulds. While the mooncakes set and bake, we will move on to the calligraphy!Learn the basics of Chinese calligraphy and practise writing characters of prosperity and good fortune. Then you will assemble your own paper lantern and decorate it with your calligraphy. You will be guided by May from Inkjoygraphy, a talented calligrapher and artist with over 20 years experience, who will ensure your lantern looks amazing and reflects your unique style.To finish, you can glaze your mooncakes, and enjoy some Chinese tea and light refreshments.This workshop is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
