Experience a taste of garden and floral design in this London terrarium workshop. Learn the history of the mini jungle, connect with nature and make a gorgeous garden in a jar.

You will join this expert botanical team in their Kings Cross studio to learn a bit more about these self-sustaining ecosystems and to get your hands dirty. You'll be layering soil, rocks, moss and foliage in a small jar that is 21x12cm.

Terrariums make incredible handmade gifts for loved ones and are a colourful piece of DIY home decor that brightens up any room.

Learn the fascinating history of terrarium design and how the plants thrive off moisture to take care of themselves. We will be making a closed terrarium, and you'll be given plenty of tips and tricks on how to care for your plants and to keep them healthy for years to come.

Whether you're looking for a gift experience for a loved one, a fun day out in London or a birthday party idea, this plant workshop will help you relax and get creative.

We provide all the materials you need, online care advice, and a thirty-day plant guarantee. You can purchase jar upgrades for your terrarium too. We offer a three-litre cork jar, a 20cm and 28cm glass dome and a lab jar. For reference images, check the gallery.

The Botanical Boy started their green adventures back in 2009 while moving into East London. They renovated a water garden with no prior experience and fell in love with plants. They dove headfirst into the books and learned all they could about pruning and planting. After their first year, they were asked to join The National Garden Scheme, opened their garden to the public and learned useful tips from other fellow gardeners.

Inspired by their garden, they discovered a liking for succulent plants and container gardening in South Africa. This led them to make more and more terrariums and shared them with their friends. They soon found that everyone loved terrariums, and they started a class in their own dining room.

They love connecting people to nature and seeing their students discover their green thumbs brings the Botanical Boys so much joy and happiness. They quit their full-time jobs and started a trendy botanical shop near Kings Cross. They believe that connection to the natural world is crucial in a fast-paced world, and plants can help people slow down.

They have been featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival, The Sunday Times, Abigal Will's The New London Garden book amongst other publications.
