Hi, I'm Melanie, a keen crafter who runs Metallix — a pewter embossing studio in the trendy quarters of Balsall Heath, Birmingham!

In the studio, I create hand embossed pewter items such as journals, keepsake boxes and original mixed media canvases. I love to draw my inspiration from architecture and sculptural forms and work from photographs that I have taken on my travels.

I had a great time with Mel creating two beautiful pewter pieces, which you could personalise to your own taste. Mel was a fantastic teacher and was generous with her time and materials (great value). I’d recommend this class to anyone crafty who would like to try something a bit different!
