Hi, I’m Simin – a mum of two, a lifelong foodie, and the heart behind Mata Masala and my cooking classes. My love for food began in my mother’s kitchen, where I spent hours watching her cook with such ease and love. Those memories of warm spices, comforting meals, and togetherness have stayed with me – and they’re the foundation of everything I do today.

Mata Masala is a unique blend that’s been used in my family for many years – a true kitchen staple, full of warmth, tradition, and timeless flavour. It was created out of love and necessity – something quick, packed with taste, and versatile enough to bring any meal to life. As a busy mum, I know how overwhelming mealtimes can be, and this masala has always been my go-to for adding instant flavour without the faff.

Teaching came about naturally. I started running cooking classes for kids, and what I love most is making food feel doable – no complicated steps, no intimidating techniques – just real cooking with real joy. Seeing someone roll their first paratha or taste something new and love it… that’s the magic for me.
