What you'll do
In this 4-hour workshop with photographic artist Catriona Grey, you'll learn in a small group how to coat material with cyanotype sensitiser and expose it to UV light using your choice of abstract objects or plants.
Throughout the class, Catriona will guide you and a small group of fellow participants as you delve into the world of cyanotype chemistry and image-making. Don't worry if you're new to this process—the warm and uplifting teaching style will alleviate any fears and provide you with the support and guidance you need.
The workshop will provide a mindful and enjoyable environment where you can explore your creativity and end up with a cool bag everyone will be asking you about! You'll gain hands-on experience mixing chemicals and applying them by hand with brushes.
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with some small handmade cyanotype prints and a cool cyanotype bag to carry everywhere with you, each one a testament to your newfound skills and creativity. With the guidance and expertise of Catriona Grey, you'll not only learn how to create mesmerising images but also embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery through the art of alternative photography.
All materials will be supplied, and you will be able to make up to several small prints and 1 bag.

All classes are small and run in a wonderful space in Camden, at Darkroom London.
I teach Polaroid lift, Chemigrams, Liquid Emulsion, Caffenol darkroom.
