Q: Will my Bees Wax Wraps be ready at the end of the class?
You will have time to cut your rubber stamp and print a pattern on 3 x cotton sheets. You will also attach the wax to at least one of your wax wraps, with any extra wax needed to take and complete at home.
Q: How do I maintain my Wax Wraps after making them?
You will be provided with some additional wax to take home. This can be used periodically to attach to your wax wrap as advised in the class. Details will also be given on how best to clean and maintain the wraps at the class.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 3 days before the class

What you'll do
Create your own eco-friendly alternative to cling film in this London workshop. Instead of throwing away endless plastic wrap, you’ll make reusable beeswax wraps that are practical, sustainable, and stylish -- a perfect way to brighten up your kitchen while reducing waste.You’ll start by designing your own patterns, carving a lino-cut to create a repeat, and printing onto cotton fabric with water-based inks. Then, using beeswax to form the sealed layer, you’ll transform your printed fabric into waterproof, reusable wraps. They’re naturally antibacterial, easy to wash, and can be re-waxed to last for months of use. No experience required!What to expect:
- Learn how to design and print your own cotton fabric with lino-cut patterns.
- Discover the process of waxing fabric to create durable, reusable wraps.

Hi, my name is Claire, and I’m an artist/crafter/designer based in NW London. I run ‘Dotty by design’ making unique and bespoke hand-made products. I have been up-cycling for two decades now, and sharing my love for all things ‘craft’ through teaching and running classes. Creativity is at the heart of all the projects I work on, harnessing the joy in the making process and sharing my passion of ‘re-using, recycling and sustaining’ in everything I do.I studied Furniture and Product design at BCUC in High Wycombe before moving to West London and working at Habitat, where my love of design had first evolved when visiting the store as a child. Since those early years, I have been on a creative journey which has encompassed all areas of art and design, including - product, craft, interiors, architecture, food, jewellery, illustration and printmaking to name but a few! I am very much a multidisciplinary designer, where a balance of form and function is key to creating engaging sustainable products that have a conscience, and considered thought for the beautiful planet we live on.
