What you'll do
Celebrate Father's Day by spending the afternoon making a beautiful piece of jewellery, right in the heart of Hatton Garden, London's jewellery epicentre! You will be guided through the process of making a unique tie pin, learning essential jewellery-making techniques along the way.
What will I make?
You will make a sterling silver tie pin, covering essential jewellery-making techniques.
What will happen on the day?
At FORGE, you'll be crafting a unique tie pin, surrounded by stunning jewellery created by independent makers. Let their artistry inspire your creativity as you embark on your jewellery-making journey. When the tie pin is finished, you can swap the item with your loved one. A sentimental piece of jewellery to treasure!
Our expert instructor will guide you through the process, teaching you how to form, bend, and solder silver. No experience needed, just come with an open mind and a willingness to explore your creative side.
For an additional £30 per pin, you can also opt to yellow gold or rose gold plate your pin. This is outsourced to professional platers so will need to be collected or posted to you a few weeks later.
By the end of the workshop, you'll not only take home a beautiful tie pin crafted by a loved one but also leave with newfound jewellery-making knowledge and skills that will last a lifetime.

Difficulty Level: MEDIUMNo previous experience needed, just a steady hand, a little patience and willingness to give it a go! Don't worry if you feel you're not artistic or creative, you will be taken through the whole process step by step.

- Reading glasses (if you need them!)
- Money or card payment for optional gold plating and posting rings to you (if collecting isn't possible)
What should I wear?
Clothes: Casual and not too precious as they may get a bit dusty or damaged. Avoid long, loose-fitting sleeves and anything that might catch or get caught whilst you are working.
Shoes: Casual flat shoes and no open-toed sandals in case you drop a hammer or something hot on them!
Hair: Tie long hair back.
