In this online floral arrangement class, you’ll learn how to design and create your own beautiful floral centrepieces from scratch. We’ll explore how to choose the right flowers, colours, and styles for different occasions – whether it’s a wedding, dinner party, or special celebration. With endless possibilities, you’ll learn how to tailor your arrangement to suit your personal taste, theme, or event.
Together, we’ll cover how to prepare both your materials and your base so your flowers stay looking fresh for as long as possible. Then, I’ll guide you step-by-step through a variety of arranging techniques used by professional florists. You’ll discover how the same method can be adapted to different sizes and styles – perfect for dining tables, decorative displays, or wedding centrepieces.
This workshop is a wonderful starting point if you’re planning to DIY your wedding flowers, and I’m more than happy to help guide you through choosing colour palettes, flower varieties that fit these, and combinations that work beautifully. Feel free to bring your questions about this creative activity – I’m here to support you every step of the way. I’ve also included photos of the arrangements I created for my own mini civil wedding for inspiration!
You'll finish the session feeling inspired and empowered by your new skills, ready to create stunning floral arrangements for any celebration.
Please note: You can choose to gather your own flowers and materials, or enjoy the convenience of ordering our box, complete with all supplies and a beautiful hand-selected seasonal assortment of blooms.

Knowledge required
No previous skills are required! This is much easier than you would think, and once you know the basic technique, the possibilities are endless!
What you'll need
  • Scissors or secateurs
  • Water for the oasis
Florals if you are sourcing your own:
  • Foliage: These are basically greenery, so any sort of leafy branches that can be used to fill space, such as eucalyptus, myrtle, lemon leaf. I personally love working with Ruscus as it's very versatile and provides some depth.
  • Main flowers: I always like choosing a few "main flowers" which will be the centre of attention of your centrepiece. These tend to be larger, eye-catching flowers such as roses, dahlias, ranunculus, Lisianthus, or chrysanthemums.
  • Supporting flowers: As the name suggests, these are smaller flowers that take a bit of a "supporting" role. Those smaller, daintier flowers help fill the arrangement, add texture, and make the main blooms shine. Examples of these are carnations, mini roses, and a very good option is Gypsophila.
Remember to think of your colour schemes when picking your flowers. If you have any questions regarding these or types of flowers, please feel free to reach out!
Oasis base: If you are sourcing your own materials, please bring an oasis base of whatever shape or size you prefer. These can often be found at florists' shops or plant nurseries. I recommend buying one with a plastic base included already; otherwise, please think about what you can use as a base (such as a tray or plate) under the oasis.

The Bloom Season
The Bloom Season

5.0 (4)
female Women-owned

Hi! My name is Laura, I have always had a passion for decoration, flowers and most importantly, seasons! I was lucky enough to grow up in Colombia with a wonderfully creative mum who taught me from a very young age the joys of playing with flowers: arranging vases and bouquets, creating centrepieces, Christmas wreaths, she can truly do it all!
When I moved to the UK however, I realised not everyone has had the chance to learn these skills at home, and while planning my own miniature wedding, I also discovered how expensive flowers and florists can be here - sometimes making beautiful florals inaccessible for many.
I'm on a mission to change this. I want everyone to be able to access their floral dreams at home, whether it is arranging your own wedding bouquet, creating floral centrepieces or even making your own Christmas wreaths, I want you to have the confidence and skills to do it all yourself. I truly hope I can share the joy of blooming with the seasons with you!
