  • 5/5 from Lauren Gray and Paul Gray, attended Dec 2025: This was a Father’s Day present from my daughter. We attended the event together. In one word “Outstanding”. This was my first cook with an “expert experience” and the choice could not have been better. We whizzed through a Vegetable samosa, Coriander chutney (best I have tasted), Pilau Rice, Raita and Chicken Rogan. All taught with genuine enthusiasm and knowledge and those little extra tips that the professional chefs keep to themselves! Quantities cooked allowed us to eat our creations on site and enough to take home for family members. Choice of refreshments served, taught at a steady and attentive pace in a fun filled atmosphere. Well Done!
  • 5/5 from Lauren McGivern, attended Dec 2025: Fabulous class, amazing food, wonderful teacher!
  • 5/5 from David, attended Dec 2025: My daughter gave me the Indian class for Fathers Day. It is always a pleasure spending a day with my daughter and far too rare. In our class of 12 there were 6 other parent/child couples. Ruby and Nam that led the class were great - enthusiastic, clear, delivered knowledge - I often cook Indian food but still learned a lot. A great morning, great learning, great food and good company - even with a glass or two of wine. Highly recommended.
  • 5/5 from Lauren Brown, attended Nov 2025: Absolutely brilliant experience!! We learnt so many great techniques and hacks when cooking Indian dishes, was made to feel very relaxed and lots of refreshments were offered to add to the experience! A lovely activity for couples but would also be perfect for a solo cook! Thank you Emerge!

A bit apprehensive as a long way from home(Southend) but the effort of getting there was more than matched by the quality of the evening. Superb host who was very personable and who was very empathetic to our limitations. I would highly recommend this to all.
  • 5/5 from Emma Spencer, attended Jul 2025: Great class, very accessible for those who were newer to cooking or needed a confidence boost. Relaxed yet fun atmosphere, paced very well so you didn't feel rushed and everything was explained and demo'd expertly. Plus the food was delicious and we left with recipes that we'll be making again and again. The sense of achievement when you make your first samosa is amazing! Will definitely be back for more classes!

We prepared Samosa, Rogan Josh, Rita, Pilau rice, coriander coconut chutney. Our host was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about Indian cuisine. They created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable asking questions. Their stories about the origins of each dish added a personal and cultural touch. getting to eat the final meal we cooked together with the group was a wonderful way to end the session — delicious and full of good conversation. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in Indian food, whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your skills.
