You only need to bring along an image that can be split into 3 basic tones or colours.Whether you are a beginner or have some prior knowledge in this craft, this class offers a nurturing environment for growth and exploration. By the end of the session, you will have your own unique 3-tone or 3-colour reduction linocut to proudly display or give as a gift.Join us in this hands-on activity, where you will learn how to bring your artistic visions to life through the intricate art of printmaking.

- 5/5 from Lynne Wotton, attended Nov 2025: I attended a lino print making class today. We were a small group of varied experience in print making. John, our tutor, was amazing. He gave us his time, experience and advice equally. His love of print making shone through. He taught me to problem-solve, so that an error I made could be turned around to produce a good lino print. I was really pleased with the result. The class was relaxed and welcoming and there was plenty of tea on tap. A really enjoyable experience. I will be attending again.
Your teacher
John Howard is an award-winning painter and printmaker and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) and an honorary member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (MRBSA). As well as running his highly-regarded print studio, he is also an associate lecturer at Falmouth University. Born in Birmingham, England, John worked in industry in the midlands for ten years before studying fine art as a mature student where he graduated with a first class honours degree. He moved to Cornwall for greater professional and personal fulfilment and now runs a printmaking studio in an iconic eco-building, offering courses, workshops and open access to other printmakers as well as making his own work.
