Is there parking?

The venue is wheelchair accessible although the toilet is located to the rear of the building, down a step. If coming by public transport, there is a bus stop directly outside the venue or it is a short walk (approx. 10 mins) from Chalkwell train station.

Join Essex printmaker and teacher Natasha Davis to learn the wonderfully tactile world of linocut printmaking. Natasha has been making and teaching creatively for many years, combining her own printmaking practice with her experience in education and community arts. She loves drawing inspiration from the objects and places that spark a story, particularly the people, wildlife and landscapes around her.Natasha enjoys teaching people how to turn a simple drawing into a handmade print and fervently believes you don’t need to think of yourself as an artist to enjoy making art. Her teaching style is relaxed, friendly and calming, with plenty of encouraging guidance along the way. She particularly loves that 'wow' moment when someone pulls their first ever print and realises they’ve made something completely unique themselves.Her workshops are designed for complete beginners, with all the equipment and materials provided. You’ll learn the basic techniques of lino cutting and hand-printing while having plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own ideas. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, a bit of creativity, quite possibly some ink in places you didn’t intend, and a print you’ll be proud to take home!
