What you'll do
In this printing class in London, you’ll spend two relaxed hours learning the art of linocut, from first sketch to finished print. I’ll guide you step by step as you draw your design, carve it into your own lino block and roll on the ink, then press your very first print. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can keep printing as many times as you like on cards and quality paper, so you’ll go home with a whole stack of your own artwork.No experience needed. Lino is easy enough for complete beginners, but absorbing enough that you’ll lose track of time. You’ll leave with your prints, your block and a brand new skill!
What you'll get
- A guided walk-through of how to draw your design, carve your lino and roll your ink cleanly.
- All the lino carving and rolling tools.
- A 15cm x 10cm lino slab to carve, which can make one larger print or two smaller ones.
- All the ink and unlimited prints on quality paper.

Hi, my name's Lizzie, and I teach linocut classes across London. What started out as an obsession for me and something I would do mindfully every evening became the event that all my friends would like to come to my house for. I hosted linocut workshops for all my friends, and they are constantly asking to come round to my house to get their print.Lino is such an amazing medium. It's interesting enough that adults are stimulated by it, but easy enough that anyone can do it. I'm really passionate about it and have taught many people in my time.Whilst I don't have an Instagram, this is something I'm setting up, and I'm building my online presence slowly. I've done workshops at places including the Artist Cup, and I'm very confident and outgoing when running the workshops and happy to help. I sell my prints online too.
