What is lino printing?
Lino printing is an eye-catching form of printmaking, which involves carving into a surface block of linoleum (yes, the floor covering!). The lino is then inked before a piece of paper is placed over it. Finally, pressure is applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper.
New to lino printing? Perfect! Your friendly teacher will be there to guide you through the whole process of creating, carving and finally printing your stunning design.
During the evening you'll enjoy the company of like-minded arty folk along with the chance to relax and unwind as you let your creativity flow.
At the end of this unique and laid-back art class filled with bubbles and fun, you'll head home having enjoyed a social and creative evening with your very own lino print wall art!

  • 5/5 from Sephora Andrew, attended May 2026: Elspeth, our teacher for the session, was very positive and encouraging, explaining and demonstrating each step of the lino prints with the class and 1 to 1. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating a Van Gogh style Starry Night print and would love to try this again! Everything was suppilied and very organised with a jovial teacher and chilled music with our BYO drink to sip as we listened and created our art prints. A fun way to spend a few hours which has inspired me to have a go at home in the future or actually come back.
  • 5/5 from Vivien Minto, attended Mar 2026: All the equipment was ready for us, and simply explained. Lorenzo was very encouraging and the two hour class was easily long enough for us to produce some lovely prints! Many thank indeed.

As a beginner, I appreciated that the design was stenciled – it really helped me get started without feeling overwhelmed. The guidance throughout was excellent. Eva provided clear instructions and helpful tips, which resulted in some beautiful prints I’m proud to take home/ gift to others. There was plenty of time to work at your own pace, and the whole environment was relaxing and restorative. I feel inspired!

I found the carving part of the session quite relaxing and then the printing part to be fun as it was exciting to see how the images turned out. The teacher was very helpful and gave us lots of tips. I liked the choice of images and I think the class should run this option where you choose from a selection in the future, rather than sticking to one. All the materials were provided and I came away having learnt a new skill. I am keen now to try another one of the classes at this venue.
