What you'll do
Whether you're a left-handed crafter in need of a little help or you're a more experienced crocheter looking to switch things up and showcase your skills, this crochet class will introduce you to all of the essential skills of this rewarding handicraft.
By the end of this workshop you will:
- Know the difference between US and UK terminology.
- Understand how your hook size, tension and yarn weight affect the outcome of your finished piece.
- Be able to cast a foundation chain.
- Complete a row of single crochet stitches (US).
- Practice the correct way to turn and continue the next row.
- Skill permitting: complete a row of double/treble crochet stitches (US) and/or observe the method.
Never tried crochet before? No worries! Taught in a relaxed and patient way, this class will dispel all the myths about left-handed crochet being notoriously difficult to master.
At the end of this experience, you'll have learned to properly control your crochet hook using your left hand and have all the skills you need to start crafting your creations!
