This session lasts between four and five hours, with breaks scheduled every couple of hours. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy during these intervals.
After booking, please send me the neck size (circumference) of the dog collar you would like to make. This will allow me to ensure the best possible fit.
Throughout the workshop, you will learn essential leather-working techniques, including punching, cutting, edging, skiving, burnishing, stitching, finishing, and embossing. These skills will empower you to create beautiful, durable items with confidence and precision.
The workshops are conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Eltham train station and a 15-minute walk from Mottingham train station.
We take pride in using only the finest quality full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced ethically and sustainably. Our materials include cow leather from Derbyshire, UK, which is environmentally friendly and ages beautifully; goat leather imported from France, renowned for its durability and elegance; and kangaroo leather from a Derbyshire tannery, which is exceptionally lightweight yet strong.
Join us to explore the art of leather crafting and leave with a unique masterpiece made by your own hands. All tools, leather, patterns, and guidance are provided to help you bring your creative vision to life.

  • 5/5 from Sarah Lockwood, attended Jul 2026: We had an absolutely lovely day with Naoum making dog collars. Naoum was a very patient, personable teacher and was very generous with his time and also his delicious refreshments!! Our dog collars are so beautiful and look amazing on our dogs. Would recommend this experience to anyone as a highly enjoyable day out!
  • 5/5 from Sara Stachelhaus, attended Jun 2026: Naoum is amazing! If you think you’re too impatient & too clumsy to register for a leather workshop, DONT LET THIS STOP YOU. I would have regrets, but instead I have a really cool, high quality leather belt that i doubt anyone will recognize as created by my clumsy hands. Go for it!
  • 5/5 from Meg Geddes, attended May 2026: Naoum was a prepared and patient teacher who took great pains to make sure that the available projects were easy for a beginner to tackle. I very much enjoyed my class!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Mallik, attended Feb 2026: A very good class with an excellent teacher and host. It was a very organised session with lots of food and drink. I would absolutely encourage anyone interested in working with leather or just the art of crafting in general to attend. I made a collar for my cat that she seems to love!
  • 5/5 from Daniel Paul Shaw, attended Nov 2025: Great class, definitely recommend it.
  • 5/5 from Ella Wright, attended Sep 2025: Naoum was a very lovely guy and he is an amazing teacher! He provided all the tools we would need and was a very generous host! 10/10 workshop will definitely come back to do another!
  • 5/5 from Julie Plantecoste, attended Mar 2025: This class greatly exceeded my expectations. I learned a lot and Naoum was happy to teach me more than the intended content of the class. He offered drinks and snacks, going out of his way to ensure that I was happy and comfortable for the duration of the class. In addition to learning to make a collar- including choosing the appropriate leather, punching holes, bevelling edges, finishing the edges, adding rivets and stitching - Naoum was also great company throughout the duration of the session. 11/10 would definitely recommend!!

Hi there! I’m Naoum, and I’m so excited to share the joy of leather crafting with you.
I first picked up leatherworking during the Covid lockdown, and it didn’t take long before I was hooked. Back home in Aleppo, I was always into crafts, especially through my scout group, and teaching others how to make things brought me so much happiness. When I moved to London, I wanted to recreate that magic, and leather crafting was the perfect fit for a small space and big creativity.
In my workshops, you’ll make your own one-of-a-kind leather item. I’ll provide everything, tools, materials, and guidance, and you’ll get to add your own personal touches, like embossing. Whether it’s your first time crafting or you’re already handy, we’ll have a great time creating together.
Let’s make something beautiful and have some fun while we’re at it!
