Join me every Tuesday in a virtual experience where you can release your creative flair, learn something new, and practice your drawing style.
Has it been a while since you picked up a pencil? Don't worry! This online drawing class is made for beginners and will make you remember how fun and therapeutic making art can be. You'll be guided through some drawing techniques with the help of an experienced and friendly teacher. Class sizes are limited. We encourage our students to put their cameras on but you don't have to chat as much as others. We love creating a creating and friendly environment and the best way is show our faces and just say hi!
Drawing takes time so enjoy the process and the company, all in the comfort of your own home. It's an ideal rainy day activity that will help you unwind. Carve out some time in your day to get creative, connect with others and use drawing as your muse, even if all you have is a piece of paper or the back of an envelope!

I have always had an overwhelming love of drawing and anything creative and since the age of 3, when I drew my first almond shape and realised that looked like an eye, I knew this path was the road I wanted to take. Having been self taught for the majority of my career, I was missing the final pieces of the puzzle to full understand and reach a level of realism that I was looking for. After studying and Wimbledon College Of Art and training with some of the finest teachers on this planet, I finally had my missing pieces and I learnt how to see clearer, how to translate what was in front of me to the paper, and how to show other people how to do the same.
I have been sharing this skill for around 5 years now and teaching all kinds of ages. I have met many abilities and faced different obstacles as each persons journey is so unique. Finally I decided that this practice should be shared to everyone and drawing is not only therapeutic but fun! It can be a great source of relief and build amazing memories so I started hosting classes for businesses and creating team building experiences that people will never forget.

Tricky art subject matter.
Find the weekly question a little challenging and slightly personal. They make me feel a bit vulnerable.
Some questions could be trigger points eg scars, naughty.
Really enjoying class but use this as a wind down.

China was amazing at explaining everything. As a beginner I thought I wouldn't keep up but I did. Little did I know this group meets regularly and what a fantastic group of people. So nice to have a chat and draw too. I never thought I would be able to draw anything like this but China coached us through every element. Still need to shade parts but happy with the result.

This class wasnt quite what I expected - I thought it would be a tutorial on the basics of drawing but it appears to be part of a regular class - we just copied a picture and there wasnt much in the way in tution.

The overall atmosphere in the class was great but I wasn't aware it was an ongoing group who had been attending the class regularly, so I don't think it was a 'beginners' level class. It wasn't quite what I was expecting as I don't feel that I was taught any specific techniques and it was a bit too fast.

Thanks so much for your feedback. The class is definitely a drop in service and aimed at beginners. I think this week might have felt more challenging if it was your first time but I'd recommend trying again as each week we look at different things. Sometimes they are more challenging, sometimes they are a lot easier. Each week people improve and get better and we've built a lovely community which is great to be a part of. I hope next time it will feel a bit better to digest. You should be really proud of your drawing!

When I signed up for the class it said that the class size was large enough to blend into the background, but when I attended the class there was some pressure to chat a lot and join in. This was a lovely environment, but unfortunately I wasn't ready for that kind of interaction! I would join again, knowing the environment but I felt that it wasn't quite advertised as expected

First time I have attended and most likely not the last! The class was great and China is very good. I didn´t know what to expect and when I saw the Tower bridge picture I almost fainted. However, I think the finished picture turned out great for someone who can only draw a crooked lines :-D
