Wednesdays 24th January and 06th March 2024- 18h00 to 21h00. This class is taught in two sessions of 3h00 (6h00 in total)
In the first session, you will be introduced to the tambour hook and how to control it in all directions through the fabric. You will initially use the chain stitch and how to cast on and off the fabric. Later, more professional aspects will be introduced including beads and sequins.
In the second stage, we will introduce the bugles beads and seed beads.
In the second session, you will be learning how to stitch the sequins using the « en riviere » stitch technique. Finally, you will learn how to apply them to create a design “Fleur de Lys”
Some homework in between both sessions is recommended to allow time to practise and improve for the 2nd session.
The aim of this tambour beading class is for you to feel comfortable using the hook and how to apply beads and sequins to be ready to move on to the next level.
The class is pitched towards beginner students and the limited class size will allow you to develop at your own pace with plenty of one to one time with the tutor.
