Since we currently can't travel to the magnificent country and are looking for fun things to do at home, why not bring a slice of France into your home with this virtual cooking class!
Mastering the art of French cooking might seem intimidating, but we can certainly try with our chef Lee (who is trained in French cuisine)! During this French cooking class online, which is perfect for beginners, he will break down myths about French cooking techniques and teach you how to simplify dishes and enhance them with spices.
Sample menu:
- Ratatouille - classic French vegetable stew consisting of tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, zucchini and basil.
- Roasted chicken marinated in spices (cumin seed, chilli, mustard seed, lemon zest, olive oil).
- Dessert - Apple Tarte Tatin (caramelised apple tart), a famous upturned tart using just four ingredients; apples, sugar, butter and puff pastry.
This hands-on virtual cooking class runs for one-and-a-half-hours with an experienced cook showing you techniques and answering your questions live via Zoom. Learn to cook online, brush up your cooking skills, but most importantly enjoy French cuisine in the comfort of your own home.
Menus will cover two to three dishes per session and are designed using everyday pantry items and average shopping items. We ask that you purchase the remaining ingredients in advance for the class.
You will receive the recipe, ingredients list and cooking equipment required in a cooking kit five to seven days before the class. These are usually typical items that you will have on hand in the average home kitchen.

Our home style cooking classes are designed to be fun, casual and informative. They are run in a hands on group style environment.
We teach you what our Mum’s and grandmas taught us over the years and share stories of our backgrounds and give you lots of tips and tricks to fix it when you might stuff it up.
Our classes are presented by regular people ( though some might work in hospitality).
We have a selection of cuisines to choose from including Sri Lankan, Indian, Thai, and Japanese. Our menus are seasonal and requests are welcome. We will do our best to accommodate them.
