  • 5/5 from Theresa Lee, attended Sep 2026: Managed to get some finished yarn wwhich surprised me. Sofia was a great instructor and clearly very skilled in yarn spinning. I enjoyed this workshop very much and have a very deep admiration for those that use these techiques to go from fleece to spinning and making their own yarn. I would definitely love to come back and try other workshop at the Four Otters studio. Thank you so much
  • 5/5 from Michaela Strange, attended Apr 2026: Excellent class. I was a complete beginner and I learned such a lot about the history of spinning, about the natures of different fleeces and how they spin and the process of spinning. Everything was provided. We had the chance to try carding the fleece as well as using the drop spindle. We plied our threads and then finished them with washing, rinsing and thwacking (great fun). We had a small and friendly group and Sophie made us all feel really welcome and relaxed. I would highly recommend the workshop.
  • 5/5 from Susan, attended Mar 2026: The 1:1 class was brilliant. I loved learning to spin on a spinning wheel and Sophia was fantastic!
  • 5/5 from Denise Frost, attended Jul 2025: I bought a kilo of Marino that required spinning by accident. So thought I would find a workshop to learn basics of spinning. The four otter craft studio popped up on a google search and I booked a class. It was informative and we were given tools and easy to comprehend instructions and a history of spinning. I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours spent and took home a skein of spun yarn at the end of the workshop. Materials provided plus a Great tutor. My spun skein and a little crocheted swatch in the photos

  • 5/5 from Izzy, attended Feb 2025: Absolutely loved this class! Sofia is so knowledgeable and answered all my endless questions. Really appreciated that she also had lots of different fibre samples to help illustrate and explain differences. I've ordered my own spindle now and can't wait to start practicing my new hobby
  • 5/5 from Antonia, attended Oct 2024: Birthday present to myself to learn a new skill I've wanted to try for awhile. It was well worth the money to have someone teach me in person. I tried learning through online tutorials in the past and just didn't get it. Within 2 hours in the class I spun some not too bad yarn and learned how to process the yarn from start to finish. Its a small class so you can ask lots of questions.
  • 5/5 from Katie Murray, attended Jul 2024: My daughter and I had a lovely morning with Sophia learning how to spin fleece into yarn. She made it looks so easy but by the end we had all made yarn Though mine was more artistic than usable But a great base to build from
  • 5/5 from Milena Kaeder, attended Apr 2024: Great workshop! Sofia was lovely and patient and a very good teacher! The workshop gave a good overview over different kinds of wool, carding, plying and everything else that is relevant in addition to the actual spinning itself. This was such a good starting point and helped me a lot!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Dobson, attended Apr 2024: The welcome from Sofia was great and as there were only two in the class we received individual attention. The venue was very close to public transport (tube) and comfortable. Sofia created a relaxed atmosphere where learning was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and want to do more spinning! Sarah
  • 5/5 from Katie Collins, attended Jan 2024: I had a fabulous time - Sofia is a wonderful teacher! I highly recommend this class
