Join this candle making workshop at your chosen venue and discover the art of crafting your own personal scents. This two-hour experience is perfect for beginners, so you can relax and focus on the joy of creating something truly unique from scratch.
During the session, you'll choose an intention theme that resonates with you, serving as the foundation for your signature candle. I will guide you through the basics of fragrance blending using a bespoke scent guide and a carefully curated library of oils. You'll have the chance to work with fresh, floral, and woody notes, as well as Asian-inspired scents like yuzu and green tea. Once you've developed your blend, you'll move on to the hands-on process of pouring your soy wax.
To finish your creation, you'll add a decorative latte-style design to the top. You can choose from a range of signature styles or invent your own:
  • Choose your intention – Select a theme that reflects how you want to feel.
  • Blend your fragrance – Master the fundamentals of scent layering to create a signature aroma.
  • Hand-pour your candle – Learn the techniques of melting and pouring wax for a perfect finish.
  • Add a latte-inspired design – Personalise your candle with a coffee, matcha, or ube latte topping.
By the end of the class, you'll have gained the skills to continue your craft at home and you'll leave with a beautiful, custom-scented keepsake that brings a sense of calm to your space.

I started In the Mood For quite unexpectedly in my London kitchen. I’ve always been fascinated by how a scent can instantly transport you somewhere — a street in Asia, a café in Europe, or even a moment in your own life you didn’t realise you had stored away.
The pivotal moment came when I made my first candle that truly felt like a memory in a jar. That’s when I realised this wasn’t just a hobby — it was a way of storytelling. I wanted to share that experience with others, not just through products, but through hands-on workshops where people could create their own scent journeys.
I love teaching because I get to see people slow down, experiment, and surprise themselves. So many people come in thinking they’re “not creative, ” and leave with something completely personal and beautiful they didn’t think they could make. That shift in confidence is what I enjoy most.
What many people don’t know is that my workshops are just as much about experience as they are about candles. I focus on making them feel relaxed, intuitive, and a little bit playful — not technical or intimidating. There’s no “right” way to create here, just expression.
Over time, I’ve run workshops for small groups, private events, and team bonding sessions where people from completely different backgrounds come together to create something meaningful. I’ve seen how powerful it is when people slow down and make something with their hands in a world that’s usually so fast-paced.
I don’t come from a traditional candle-making or perfumery background — I built this through curiosity, experimentation, and a lot of learning along the way. That’s what makes it feel real to me, and I think that’s also what people connect with.
For me, it always comes back to this: scent is memory, and making candles is just a way of helping people bottle their own stories.
