Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced potter, all are welcome to join us. Under the guidance of our ceramics expert, we will introduce you to the clay medium and help bring your vision to life.

Our studio is only a 10 minute walk from North Acton tube station. Our close-knit team works hard to ensure this is a welcoming and inclusive space, where you can relax and let your creativity flourish.

Great class, plenty of time to really get used to working with the clay if you’re a beginner. The instructor was ver knowledgeable, she was able to correct mistakes and put your piece back on track.

Great studio, easy to find on Google maps. The teacher Adrienne and assistant V were so kind and encouraging and friendly. Really enjoyed it and loved choosing the glaze colours for the finished pieces. Made a noodle bowl, tea cup, cat bowl and jug!

I booked the pottery class on this Sunday and I had a really great experience and time here. I found the place on google map and it looks nice in it, so I immediately booked it. It’s a 2.5h class. And as I got there the teacher already prepared every materials that required. Teacher Adrianne is a really nice teacher, she’s kind, patient and funny. She showed me how to do a bowl step by step and let me try it, when I had problems she will help me and give me some nice advice so no experience it’s completely fine. She is good at encouraging her student and made me really happy. The environment is nice and the atmosphere is chill, you will feel relaxed in this space. I didn’t realize the time passed so fast and I wish to come again to have some nice time like this afternoon.

Excellent studio, small size class and experienced teachers. They trim and glaze the pots for you so the finished result is far better than you'd get from most classes!

Great class, great teacher, great studio and not to mentioned great assistance who replished our clays non-stop thru out our session. However parking can be a nightmare. If driving make sure you give yourself some time to find parking.

I really enjoy doing pottery classes. It's fun, creative and calming. There was a loud group from the previous session who was in no rush to leave. So the start was a bit hectic, teachers could've given more guidance on the techniques. The second part of the class was much better and calmer. The location is easy to find by car

It was a birthday present for my partner. The teacher was really good, helpful, encouraging and gave attention to all class members. The venue was fine and spacious. We were given lots of pieces of clay to work with. I learnt how to throw the clay on the wheel how to bring the clay up to make the clay taller. I feel the class was good value for money and the fact that it was fun and nobody was judged or made to feel silly if they did not get their pieces quite right.

Great class for our anniversary with a kind and patient instructor, Adrien. It was our first time doing anything like this and we made lots and had an amazing time! Location was a bit far out but so worth the journey and worth every penny. Definitely make sure you’re wearing clothes you aren’t precious about!

On our friends birthday we all came to Standard Road studios in North Acton and had a two and half hour pottery throwing experience. Adrian and two fellow instructors taught us how to make a variety of structures. I mostly appreciated the quality of the equipment, the generous amount of clay we were given and the ample time at the wheel.

The teachers were attentive and encouraging. The compliments boosted confidence just enough for me to feel like I was progressing with centering the clay, manipulation of the clay and the variety of shapes possible. The freedom to be creative was encouraged.

I feel the class is great value considering the time allowed and the amount of material afforded to us as well as the fact we get to choose two items to bake and glaze in a choice of colours.

I loved seeing the group have fun. It was also great to see Adrian's vases and vessels on display. Really beautiful work. Thanks to the other instructors too. They were so friendly and had great energy.

We had the best time The teacher was so helpful and friendly. She gave us lots of tips, plus she took photos for us. Our class consisted of us (a group of 4) plus two others so it felt like a good size group and the teacher could help each person when they needed. We made so many lovely pots in different shapes and styles. Can’t wait to pick them up in a few weeks. We have planned to come back to paint our pots! The place and equipment was excellent. Would definitely recommend this class!

Birthday Celebration with Friends!
The teachers were helpful, friendly, warm, encouraging and fun to be around. The environment was relaxing and welcoming. The materials were excellent and we could use them to form the shapes that we were interested in forming. We learnt about positioning, posture, techniques and ways in which manipulate the clay. Highly recommend and you get your money's worth too! I liked the different phases of forming the clay shape to its final stage.

Adrianne, Mary and Vee (hopefully I got all of those names correct) were warm, welcoming, patient and supportive in creating a freeing environment for our party of 7 people to tap into what it was that we wanted to form on the wheel.

Upon our arrival, we were given a brief orientation and within minutes, we were on our stools at the wheel with hands covered in water and clay. It really was the best way for us to learn technique through trial and happy-error. We were attended to by our teachers and always had 2-3 pieces of clay ready to be thrown and centered when we were done with our current creation.

The energy was jovial and easy. Perfect vibes with no pressure and full of encouragement when forming more unconventional pieces that weren't the go-to cups, pots and vases.

Regarding the location, this was great as most of us are west London-based. Easy walk from the station but also some street parking available. Facilities were clean i.e. toilets and the studio itself was spacious enough for our private class.

Will consider re-visiting at some point.

We had a great time at this class with myself and my two young daughters (10 and 12). The teacher was very knowledgeable and able to work well with both the adults and my children. We were able to make as many pieces as we wanted and then choose two of our favorites at the end, which was really nice. The location was a bit unexpected a studio inside a larger building. Just visiting London, it seemed a bit out of the way, but most of the classes we looked up were also not in central London. The studio was well-equipped. I recommend the class!

We had a fantastic time with Adrianne and her team at Land Wave Studio for our daughter's 10th birthday. All 8 10-year-old girls had an absolute blast, and we had to tear them away from the pottery wheels. Each girl got a lot of help and attention from the 4 staff and created some fantastic pieces after just a little practice. We will be going back so the parents can have a go! Highly recommended class.

Adrianne gave a very detailed explanation of the process to us and showed us the techniques multiple times with a lot of patience to help us learn. She was also always willing to help us out if we ran into any issues with our pottery. Adrianne also took the time to explain the process of firing the pottery.

The whole team was very kind and welcoming, took the time to record photos and videos of our experience and gave us some delicious tea during the break.
