Hi, I’m Yufan, a glass artist and the founder of Puffroom Glass Studio in Hackney Wick, London.My journey into glass began through textiles. I studied textile design for 5 years and graduated from the Royal College of Art, where my research often focused on materials with translucent qualities and how light interacts with surfaces. During that time, I became increasingly fascinated by the clarity and luminosity of glass.Curious to explore this material further, I began learning different glassmaking techniques and eventually found my passion in lampworking — the art of shaping molten glass in a flame. I was drawn to its delicate scale and the immediacy of working with fire and glass.Today, I create glass jewellery and sculptural pieces in my studio, and I love sharing this craft with others. My workshops are designed to be relaxed and beginner-friendly, offering people a chance to experience the magic of transforming molten glass into their own handmade piece.
