  • 5/5 from Ruth Taylor, attended Apr 2025: I booked the class to learn a new way to display plants, I’m planning to use these new creative skills in my window displays, at home and round the office. When I mentioned to my friends, I was taking this ‘Kokedama’ workshop they asked to join the same class, so in the end 4 of us took part and learn a new skill together. The teachers were super helpful and patient while demonstrating the art of Japanese Moss Ball Plant ‘Kokedama’ and offered us athletic Japanese sweet treats at the start of the course.

They arrived on time, set up the room very efficiently and were great at explaining the process to our participants. All of them were lovely and so helpful in answering questions and helping out when needed, as well as sharing their knowledge on the history of Kokedama. They created a wonderful atmosphere and all our participants had a very enjoyable time.
  • 5/5 from Chris Burt, attended Sep 2024: What a great workshop! The studio was all set up ready for us. Nono, our teacher, was lovely. Gave us great background on the origins of kokedama, then an excellent demonstration. We loved the class and came away with two great kokedama each. Thank you Nono!
  • 5/5 from Bryan, attended Sep 2024: The class was well structured and created a friendly environment to learn. All of our questions were answered in detail and with clear passion for the subject matter. Most of all it was really fun!
  • 5/5 from Juliet, attended Jul 2024: Had a really lovely time! Would highly recommend if you’re interested in kokedama. Lots of plants to choose from and very happy with how they turned out. The teacher was super friendly and knowledgeable :) The entrance to the venue is a bit hard to find as there isn’t a big sign outside (look out for 12-18 Hoxton St, then the buzzer for the Flower Factory).
  • 5/5 from Francesca, attended Jun 2024: I recently participated in the kokedama workshop to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience! Our instructor, Momo, was not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and enthusiastic. Her passion for the art of kokedama was infectious, and she was always ready to offer helpful tips and encouragement. All materials needed for the workshop were provided, and they were of excellent quality. From the variety of plants to the moss and strings. We learned the history and cultural significance of kokedama, as well as the techniques required to make our own. Momo guided us step-by-step through the process, ensuring everyone was able to follow along and create something they were proud of. It felt like great value for money, as we all left with beautiful kokedama creations and newfound skills. Overall, I highly recommend this kokedama workshop to anyone interested in exploring a new craft, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a fun and relaxing activity. It's an experience you won't forget!
  • 5/5 from Francesca, attended Jun 2024: I have gifted this workshop to my girlfriend and have attended together. Nono was a great teacher, she explained everything in details and demonstrated how to build a kokedama, and helped with any kind of issues we encountered when doing it ourselves. She provides with anything you'll need for the workshop, you can choose what plant to use for your own kokedama and Nono will also explain why some plants are more suitable for this technique than others. Overall I really liked the workshop and the relaxed atmosphere in which we were working. Highly recommend!
