Our SparkBeat StoryWe started SparkBeat Bollywood Dance Studio from something very simple: a love for movement and a shared belief that every child deserves a space where they feel confident, joyful, and free to express themselves.Both of us grew up with Bollywood music as a constant backdrop at celebrations, festivals, and even on quiet evenings when one song could change the whole mood of the house. But the pivotal moment came much later, after becoming parents, when we realised how powerful dance can be for children. It's not just choreography... it’s identity, confidence, culture, creativity, and community all rolled into one. That realisation is what inspired us to create SparkBeat.Why We Love TeachingTeaching gives us the rare privilege of watching children transform. We’ve seen shy kids step into the studio clinging to their parents, only to discover their own spark through movement. We’ve seen little ones who struggled with coordination suddenly find rhythm, teamwork, and pride. And then there’s the absolute magic of seeing a whole group come alive during a performance, the energy, the smiles, the sparkle. Those moments stay with us.Working with children between 3 and 12 has taught us patience, empathy, and how to create an environment where every child is seen and celebrated. Our kids learn formations, teamwork, musicality, and performance skills, all while having a great time.
