Join us for a resin jewellery workshop in London, where you'll learn how to create a koi pond necklace using UV resin, plus koi fish earrings, ensuring you leave with a beautiful piece to take home at the end of the session. Whether you're a complete beginner or have experience, all levels are welcomed with open arms.
Don't worry if you're new to this -- our friendly instructor will ensure you feel comfortable and supported. Please note, if you have a latex allergy, do let us know in advance as necessary PPE such as gloves and a mask will be provided.
What to expect:
  • Over an hour and a half, you'll be guided through the process, working with UV resin to craft your unique creation.
  • Learn a new craft in a relaxed, supportive environment.
  • Colour/design of the necklace strap may vary.
  • If you have any latex allergy, please let us know as PPE (gloves and mask) are necessary for the workshop.
By the end of the session, you'll not only have a handcrafted necklace and earrings to proudly show off but also a newfound skill in working with UV resin. The workshop is a fantastic way to explore your creativity and learn a new craft, all while enjoying a fun and engaging activity. In case you request a private session outside our studio and to ensure a smooth and creative session we require the following setup:
Workspace: A large table with enough space for all students to sit and work comfortably.
Access: We would need access to the room at least 15 min before the session starts.
Environment: A well-ventilated room is essential for this activity.
Power & Light: A well-lit space with at least one accessible power outlet near the table.
Flooring: We strongly recommend a room without carpets. While we provide table mats for protection, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to the table or flooring caused by spilled materials.

FAQ

What safety gear do you provide?
On our UV resin workshops we provide a full safety kit for every student, including nitrile gloves and a P2V charcoal-valved mask. Our studio is also equipped with a Resiners PurAir filtration system, which is SGS-certified to remove 83% of resin-specific VOCs from the air.
Are the gloves provided in resin workshops safe for allergies?
We use nitrile gloves because they are the gold standard for those with latex allergies. While true nitrile allergies are extremely rare (less than 1% of the population), some people may experience minor skin redness from the "accelerators" used to make the gloves stretchy. If you have extremely sensitive skin, please let us know.
Is the resin "non-toxic"?
We use "Low VOC" resins, which are much safer and have a milder scent than industrial resins. However, all liquid resin requires respect. By using our specialized air purifiers and wearing your provided charcoal mask and gloves, your exposure is kept to a minimum.

If I want to take your resin workshop, what happens if I have asthma or chemical sensitivities?
If you have severe asthma or a history of chemical sensitivity, we recommend consulting your doctor before booking. While our air is professionally filtered, resin can be a sensitizer for those with pre-existing lung conditions.
Is the studio Step Free? Is it accessible for wheelchair users?
Yes, our studio is located on the ground floor with step-free access directly from Spare Street. However, please note that while the unit is at street level, the internal doorway has a clear opening width of 70cm (700mm). As this may not be wide enough for all standard manual or powered wheelchairs, we want to ensure your visit is comfortable; if you have specific mobility requirements or would like to verify if your equipment will fit, please contact us in advance.
