Jesmonite Casting Workshop: Make a Festive Tealight Holder

Create a beautiful festive tealight holder for your home or as a wonderful gift in this hands-on casting workshop. You'll experiment with colour pigmentation, marbling techniques and free-pouring, discovering the creative possibilities of Jesmonite AC100 – a water-based eco-resin that's safe, non-toxic and widely used by makers to create gorgeous decorative objects.In the first half of the workshop, you'll learn how to pigment Jesmonite with your own colour mixes, playing with vibrant shades and soft tones to create exactly the look you're after. You'll explore marbling – swirling colours together for beautiful, organic patterns – and free-pouring techniques, discovering how the material moves and flows in surprising ways. There's real creative freedom here; every piece is unique because every maker's choices are different.In the second half, you'll cast your tealight holder by pouring your pigmented material into silicone moulds. Watch as your colour combinations come to life in three-dimensional form – it's deeply satisfying. Once you've finished, your teacher takes it from there. She'll sand, seal and finish your holder in her studio, then post it to you within three working days, ready to use or gift.All materials are included – pigments, the Jesmonite, moulds, protective gloves – so you just need to show up and get creative. By the end, you'll have a beautiful, functional piece that's entirely yours, or a truly special handmade gift that shows real thought and care.
