The instructor took us step by step to create the watercolour image we were working on - from the first line drawings to the final splattering of paint. The space is very nice and artistic. The instructor was very informative about watercolour and the tools used. If I lived there, I would easily attend again.

She was very patient and explained all the basic techniques needed for watercolor beginners, highly recommended for anyone who wants to try out watercolor, you will find it’s very interesting and time flies for this 3.5 hours!

We painted our own watercolour pictures with the guidance of the teacher. I felt like I could ask for advice when needed and could easily follow along with the instructions.

Can’t wait to return for another lesson, well worth trying. From my 80 year old mum to my 13 year old daughter, the three of us loved it.

Vencho is a really superb teacher - she addressed everything I was hoping for from the session, and more. In particular, I gained a good understanding of how to use wet-on-wet, something that had eluded me before. She provided just the right amount of guidance, and has geatly boosted my self-confidence at undertaking watercolour painting. Her studio was a very pleasant environment, and the equipment she provided was first class.

I was in a class as a beginner, along with two other people who were more experienced, and she gave everyone her attention. She was encouraging, educational, and she tried to communicate a lot of valuable information. She gave me the confidence to take up watercolor painting. I fell in love with watercolor painting after one lesson because of her as a teacher.

Neither of us are experienced in watercolours, and Vencho was patient, kind, and excited to teach us the basics to get started. She used examples of her own work to get everyone started and make sure all basic techniques are covered, which meant that you were clearly signposted and knew where you were doing the whole time. The class was small (6) so Vencho had enough time to help everyone, and kept it engaging throughout. We've come away with a good understanding of watercolour basics, our own work to cherish, and a very positive experience. Initially apprehensive about the 3hr long course, whether it'd be too long, but it flew by and any shorter would have been unsatisfying. We're very grateful to Vencho for today!

The teacher is a practitioner, so her tips are incredibly practical and useful-you really learn all the little tricks that make a difference. It then becomes easier to practice on your own, especially since watercolours are both fun and challenging. She genuinely cares and clearly loves what she does. You can see this in the way she teaches, how thoughtfully she sets up the class and the attention she gives to each student. This was the best gift I received. PS: Take your own water there’s no fountain to fill your bottle for drinking. And take an apron if you’re worried about messing your clothes. Other than that just go to enjoy, learn and have fun!

Our teacher was fantastic at explaining and demonstrating the art of watercolour and the different techniques involved. Enjoyed chasing paint on wet paper, using dry on dry along with the different applications gained with waterproof ink. Really pleased with my finished result and had fun creating it! I would highly recommend!

The teacher is super smart, talented and friendly, and the studio and small number of other students all lent a lovely cosy atmosphere to the class. If you're lucky, some more advanced students might be there to take inspiration from and a big pile of snacks and tea (from the teacher's hometown) was provided to munch on while you contemplate your next move. The painting you create will be mounted and wrapped up professionally. If you finish early you can even paint a bookmark. I came in feeling very nervous about watercolour, but the teacher explained the process in a methodical way which really helped me gain confidence and inspired me to buy a new paintbrush from her (no shilling, I just asked) - the materials offered were all very high quality and enjoyable to use. If you are interested, she will give you grounded advice for materials, and made a really big effort to demonstrate each technique practically which felt valuable from a professional. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience. :)
