What you'll do
Treat yourself to a creative evening out and discover the art of screen printing in this relaxed, adults-only workshop in London.If you love getting creative but rarely find the time to make something just for yourself, this monthly craft club is the perfect chance to switch off, learn a new skill and enjoy making alongside others. Come with a friend or meet like-minded people as you print and create together in a warm, welcoming setting.During the session, you'll be introduced to the basics of screen printing, guided through each step of creating your own hand-printed designs using paper stencils, inks and screens. It's a fun, versatile technique that lets you produce multiple bold, vibrant prints, each with its own unique character.You'll draw and cut your own stencil, choose from two ink colours, then print your design using shared screens – with plenty of chances to lend a hand and watch everyone else's prints come to life too. No previous experience is needed, so this workshop is made for complete beginners.The workshop takes place at The Crown Tavern in Lee, so feel free to grab a drink or a snack from the bar to enjoy while you create.

What you'll get
- You’ll print 2-3 test prints onto cotton or paper to practise the technique before doing your final print onto a tote bag included as part of the workshop.
- At the end of the evening, you'll take home all of your printed creations.
Knowledge required
No previous screen printing experience is necessary. Just come along, join others in the community to get creative, and enjoy the process of giving it a go!
What to bring
- You don't need to bring anything as all materials and equipment are provided.
- If you would like to have a think about shapes or simple patterns you would like to use as part of your design, please do.
- If you'd like to do an additional print and have your own cotton T-shirt or tea towel that could do with a revamp or stain covering to give it a new lease of life, you're welcome to bring it along.
