What you'll do
On the hunt for some fun things to do in Bicester that will get your imagination whirring? Try Indian block painting!
Starting with detailed demonstrations before hands-on activities, this craft workshop will help you pick up loads of tips and tricks in the world of Indian block printing. Whether you're a beginner trying it for the first time or you already have some experience, everyone is welcome to join in and get creative!
Guided by experienced teacher Holly Jones, you will explore loads of fun materials as you test out different designs and colours. You'll get to practice on the fabric first and once feel confident, you can move on to the real thing.
There are a few fabric items for you to pick from tea towels, tote bags, pencil cases and more. Holly will go through your options and be on hand to help you get the best print on whatever you pick.
You'll be getting busy with the inks and prints in a wonderful studio with a friendly atmosphere with fellow creatives like you. If you think printing is the hobby for you, then you can purchase some materials here to take home alongside you're amazing handmade items.

Your teacher
The Arty Crafty Place is a Mother (Maggie) & Daughter (Tess) team, along with 6 other creatives who make up our small business. After many trips to Jaipur, India we fell madly in love with Block Printing. After forming close relationships, with a fair trade village of wood carvers we were able to design our own range of Indian Printing Blocks which we ship back to the UK along with Fabrics & other products.
Half of our business is selling Indian Block Printing supplies from Jaipur, India. We have an online shop and exhibit at Shows, Fairs and Events across the UK. The other half of the business is our Printing Studio (the part we love the most!), where Tess & Holly our Workshop Tutors teach guests from all over the country how to Block Print & Indigo Dye. We love to share our wealth of knowledge to give other's the confidence to experience the joys of Block Printing!
