What you'll do
Join this inspiring four-week floristry course in London to develop your skills in the art of flower arranging. Designed for beginners with an interest in learning flower arranging as a new skill or hobby, you'll be guided by expert tutors for a fulfilling creative experience.
During your London floristry classes, you'll work with a mix of fresh flowers and foliage while learning the skills and techniques required to create both contemporary and traditional arrangements.
Your expert floristry tutors will teach you everything you need to know from how to pick flowers to how to care for them, to flower arranging, wrapping and presenting. You will be making vase and table floral arrangements and will learn the spiralling technique for a hand-tied bouquet.
Each class will focus on one item and a particular technique/skill.
Week 1: Hand tied bouquet.
Week 2: Table centre/vase arrangements using chicken wire.
Week 3: Dried floral wreath or floral crown.
Week 4: Statement piece - floral display on a stand suitable for a wedding/church display.
Your talented tutors for this floristry course have a signature Scandinavian style that has a high impact and unique flair. Let your creativity blossom and learn basic design techniques and construction methods and gain the confidence to create beautiful designs on your own.
The class is held in your tutors' Hoxton/Old Street studio and there is an optional early morning visit to the flower market in Battersea.
By the end of this London floristry course, you'll have created some beautiful floral arrangements and will finish up with new skills and confidence in arranging flowers with great flair.
