You’ll leave with your own indigo-dyed textile pieces, a solid basic understanding of Itajime techniques, how an indigo dye bath works, and the confidence to continue experimenting at home. No prior experience needed, just come ready to fold, dye, and get -just- a little messy. You’ll learn how precise folding and clamping techniques create striking, repeatable patterns, then bring them to life using an indigo dye bath. This workshop demystifies the process while leaving plenty of room for creative play and experimentation.Designed for beginners but rich enough for experienced makers, the session balances clear demonstrations with hands-on making.
