  • 2/5 from Ella Forster, attended Sep 2026: Making incense was a relaxing and enjoyable activity, but the teacher wasn’t very experienced and kept having to check instructions, and there was also a lot of waiting around as she was teaching two workshops simultaneously. For the £79 it would have been nice for my tea to be included. I think this activity would have been fairly easy to replicate at home, and is not worth paying so much for.

It was a small and intimate workshop, with lots of time to mindfully select and prepare the ingredients. However, I did book incense jewellery workshop but during the process was told that I had to pay extra for the jewellery aspect otherwise it was incense sticks. This should have been specified in the original booking on ClassBento as it wasn’t clear. I still enjoyed the workshop, it just should have been clearer that there was an extra payment requirement prior to the workshop.
