What you'll do
If you've tried throwing on the potter's wheel before and you'd like to gain more experience and build your skills, you're in the right place. This eight-week course is ideal if you have done the beginners' course or have plenty of hand building and throwing experience. Under your tutor's guidance, you'll cover the fundamentals while adding new skills you may have missed. The aim is to build your skills and confidence to allow you to refine your making, express yourself, and have some fun with it.While each class will cover new skills, you'll also have the freedom to develop your own projects. You will get lots of encouragement, stimulation and assistance to achieve your goals and by the end of the course you will be able to apply appropriate hand building, throwing and finishing techniques to develop your ceramic studio practice.
