We recently bought a house but have no DIY experience - but even if you have experience and just want some tips, this class is for you. David has so much knowledge to share, and his class is engaging and packed full of information. We learned basic electrics, plumbing (fixing toilets and taps), how to use drills on different materials and how to fill holes and reseal. We only did the class yesterday, and already we’ve resealed our kitchen - which has been on our to-do list for months. Thank you David for all your help.
• 5/5 from Julia Simonds, attended Apr 2026: Really interesting, covered lots of basics, the teacher David was lovely (and funny) and knows how to do everything! He made us feel at ease and never made us feel silly for asking a question or struggling with anything. He started the class by asking us all why we were there, and then the class seemed to be guided by what people needed to take away from it. I definitely feel less scared of tackling some jobs by myself now. The only thing I would change is make it a bit less "watching and listening" and a bit more "doing myself", but obviously we're limited to the 6 hours of the class - it was a "basics" class after all. I'd love to come back and do another, more specific, one of David's classes, such as the electrics one. Overall I would definitely recommend this class for anyone who is scared to try some DIY and let David show you that it's not that bad at all.

He gives everyone a chance to try all the things he shows. I won't be frightened of drilling into masonry anymore and I'm now going to take off all the silicone I put badly around my bath and try again with what he suggested.
