It was a relaxed and friendly crochet class for beginners! Ella was an excellent teacher and very patient. The venue was quiet and had plenty of room for everyone. Now need to practice practice practice!

Member of staff (Amy?) was excellent, workroom was perfect and my daughter and her friend were delighted with the items they produced. Will definitely be booking another workshop here.

We were fortunate enough to get two free places on an Easter Class at the new local Hobbycraft store to make a “dancer key ring”. This was a really nice sized class which was led by Amy, who was very kind and helpful and kept the children entertained for the whole 1/2 hour session. The class was held in a nice open space and used good quality materials. The children were very proud of their keyrings, which they have hung onto their school bags to show them off. They have also decided to make some more over the Easter Holidays as presents for Granny and Grandpa plus for their school friends! Thanks so much - they really enjoyed the class and we all loved their cute keyrings.

I took my mum to this workshop as part of her birthday present and it was brilliant! I have to say, Amy was amazing for accommodating us when I got the time wrong and we turned up an hour late, she still went ahead with the workshop which was so nice of her. The workshop was great and Amy really took the time to teach us the best techniques for acrylic paint pouring and we’ve come away with some beautiful pieces we created. 100% great value for money and a great way to unwind and be creative!

I booked this beginners’ workshop at the newly opened Selly Oak branch, as a surprise for my niece and nephew’s birthdays and a refresher for my sister and me. It is a good size space. The tutor, Beth was friendly and helped my niece and nephew get their hands and minds around crocheting. My sister and I also assisted, when Beth was helping one or the other, as it does turn out that, like riding a bike, once you learn a skill, you never really forget!

The hook and skeins of wool were included and good quality, making the class very good value.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon and it seemed to go very quickly.

I really like the way you can request a private class and that the size of class is small. I highly recommend them and I look forward to trying other workshops

What a lovely craft idea! We made 2 lovely, quirky keyrings. Had a lot of fun and were very engaged.

The lady running it was lovely too.

Thank you so much

Amy was brilliant. I haven't sewed for over 40 years and she taught me how to thread the sewing machine and bobbin. Had lots of great outlines on material to practice and take home too. Yes it was good value for money and loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the one to one session and highly recommend this. Will have another session for sure in the future. Loved it and thank you Amy.

My mom and I were looking to buy a sewing machine, as well as learn how to do embroider some items of clothing.
Ella was fantastic at teaching us how to use the machine, and gave us some great embroidery tips too.
She was patient, knowledgeable, and really helpful in guiding us through the sewing machine setup.
We are really looking forward to booking our next workshop and visiting the Selly Oak store again soon.
