Looking for hen party ideas in London? How better to prepare for the big day than to make your own stunning headpiece?

In this hat-making workshop, you will expand your millinery knowledge by learning how to create a lovely fascinator for the upcoming wedding. Award-winning milliner to the stars, Katherine, will explain and demonstrate the steps and practice of making a headpiece. You will also learn about cutting and curling feathers, trimmings, bows, sinamay and flowers.

You will have a wide variety of materials to get creative with from sinamay, feathers, fabrics, beads, crystals to ribbons (plus more). There is also a range of colours in fabric and trim on offer, but feel free to bring trims or fabrics of your choice too.

New to hat making? Don't worry you will be guided step-by-step by the talented Katherine so there are absolutely no sewing skills needed — this hen party experience is all about fun, laughter and of course, style!

By the end of this fun hat making workshop, you'll have a stunning fascinator to wear for the big day or flaunt your bespoke creation on the streets of London!

Katherine began her career in millinery under the talented eye of Stephen Jones, creating pieces for the Dior runway shows and the John Galliano boutique in Paris. After working with Catherine Delaney in theatre and film, Katherine set up her own Millinery House which is based in OXO Tower.

In 2012, Katherine won the London Lifestyle Award for Best London Fashion Retailer. Katherine has also appeared on the BBC coverage of Royal Ascot where she was tasked with making a hat live on air! Another 2012 TV appearance saw Katherine on ITV's Alan Titchmarsh show discussing our Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea Parties!

Amongst Katherine's other accolades, she was part of the 2011 Walpole Crafted Scheme for the highest-achieving craft professionals of their respective fields. In addition, Katherine won the 'Accessories Designer Award' by Profile, resulting in her designing a collection for the Hobbs King's Road Store.
