Try this online class where you will learn how to hand repair clothing. You will create beautiful simple graphic mends with creative patchworking that is bursting with your personality and style. It adds a personal touch to your clothes and allows you to pick up some new skills.
Fixing or upcycling old clothes is a really eco-friendly thing to do at home and a great way to help the environment. No need to throw away your holey jeans, just give them a quick stitch up and make them look even better!
This is not only a great chance to spruce up your denim and fix any rips or holes, but you also will learn how to sew by hand and pick up some useful sewing techniques.
Your friendly teacher will help you learn how to hand sew and take you through handstitched denim repair, focusing on the traditional Japanese style of sashiko and boro. You'll also be guided through everything in your handy sewing kit and how to use it.

ReJean Denim was founded in 2018 by Glasgow fashion designer Siobhan Mckenna.
We make unisex denim jackets and accessories from 100% reclaimed materials. All items are handcrafted using discarded denim which we deconstruct and reimagine into something new. Our sustainable denim jackets, inspired by traditional workwear, are designed to be unique, ethical wardrobe staples for all because style has no gender or size limit.
Shopping at ReJean keeps unwanted clothing out of the landfill, helping tackle the UK fashion industry's 350,000 tonnes a year textile waste problem. Repair is also a vital part of our DNA, because we believe that loved clothes last.
We want to share this passion for reducing waste and sprucing up clothing with students by showing them how to fix clothes and make them last longer.
