Slow down and spend an evening exploring the soothing rhythm of wheel throwing at Good Mood Pottery, our welcoming ceramic studio in Camberwell, South London.

This 2-hour wheel throwing taster class runs on Tuesday and Friday evenings and is designed for beginners and those with a little experience who want to build confidence on the wheel. Led by our friendly, experienced instructors, the session is hands-on, supportive and all about enjoying the process in a relaxed setting.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including how to centre clay and shape simple forms, with guidance every step of the way. No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands muddy.

At the end of the session, you’ll choose your favourite piece to keep. We’ll glaze and fire it for you, ready for collection from the studio once it’s finished.

Whether you’re trying pottery for the first time, planning a creative evening out, or looking for a mindful way to unwind midweek, this class promises a fun, creative, and feel-good experience.
